The bulk epoxy floors are considered to be one of the most resistant to moisture and aggressive chemicals: acids, alkalis and solvents. Such floors can be washed with hot water and almost any detergent, why they prefer to arrange in various laboratories, rooms with high humidity and in residential buildings. Epoxy self-leveling floors are also valuable for their unique maintainability: in the case of a deep scratch or crack, just a brush stroke is enough, while polyurethane ones will have to tinker with.

The epoxy floor

The synthetic epoxy is a thermosetting polymer.The epoxy resin is extremely resistant to mechanical damage and is characterized by good adhesion to the base, and due to its consistency it fills and seals hair cracks very well, further protecting the concrete surface.

The epoxy is also harder than polyurethane, so the epoxy is more commonly used in industry, garages, or as a floor for technical rooms – wherever the surface is exposed to heavy loads (such as cars moving on it).

Due to its structure, the use of the epoxy can be carried out with a thicker layer, which, together with the addition of quartz aggregate, to create an extremely stable surface that can cope with very intensive use and high loads.
